This Is The Item Upgrades Case Study You'll Never Forget

Path of Exile Item Upgrades

The performance of many Path of Exile items can be improved by upgrading them. They can be a fantastic source of extra damage and more AD or even more attachments.

Rare-grade equipment is often superior to the more modernized Common or Magic gear because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades can be applied to both armor and weapon items. They increase the performance of the item they are attached to. Armor upgrades can be found in the game's world and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. They can also be salvaged by using a specialist or higher salvage kit to retrieve upgrade components from other items.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it can take on. The upgrade of an armor piece to maximum upgrade level will boost its ability to absorb damage. But, it's important to keep in mind that this will increase its weight, causing it to weigh more than it was before.

There are several different types of armor upgrade available in the game. Each has a different effect. Certain upgrades give armor a greater number of health points, while others make it lighter and more powerful. The name of the upgrade will indicate the type of upgrade an item can be given, as illustrated below.

A few of the upgrades are also magic or a hybrid of technology and magic which is identified by the "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Certain upgrades require charges to use. These are identified as "Charges" entries in the table. The charges for these upgrades are updated daily or never expire dependent on the upgrade.

Iron Ore is the cheapest way to improve your armor. You can find it by exploring and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive but it can be obtained through smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Some upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high-level armor pieces. These upgrades can give significant boost to performance and are worth the investment, especially for 1-handed weapons.

Upgrading a piece of armor to max upgrade level will dramatically increase its defense capabilities, but the player should be aware that increasing its weight will drastically reduce its speed and agility. It is not recommended to upgrade armor above +9. The added defense typically isn't worth the weight and power cost of the upgrades.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players the ability to improve certain aspects of their weapon. Upgrades can increase the accuracy of a rifle or the damage that shotgun shells do. Some weapons also have special enhancements that enhance their intrinsic qualities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, reduces the risk of the possibility of overheating), and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's velocity for greater damage) are two examples.

Most upgrades for weapons require one of three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons and a whetblade to apply. These can be obtained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain number of monsters and bosses.

To upgrade a weapon, equipment set piece or Whetblade you need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee of a specific number of Bars. The higher the upgrade level, the higher the number of bars required to complete it. The cost of upgrades will be less if you have more than one of the upgrade materials.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the way you upgrade your weapon and equipment sets was a bit different. Previously you could search for an Upgrade Bench and pay a certain number of Bars to upgrade your weapon or equipment to a higher quality. You could do this until your weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level, at which point the upgrades would reset.

It's possible, but it is dependent heavily on RNG. Instead, you're better off going to the stores and buying equipment with low upgrade levels but good base scores and stat distributions. These items will have a better chance of giving you the highest tier benefits and blessings.

To level up faster, many players be more inclined to upgrade their weapons. Players should also upgrade the weapons that their teammates use to boost their strength. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R to enhance its effectiveness when accompanied by biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels can be used to boost the effectiveness of a skill or provide additional effects on weapons and armor. They can be made through a process called jewelry crafting, where you combine a gem with various ingredients at a table for jewelry. The higher the grade of the jewel the better the secondary effect. These reagents are obtained in the world through Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and, sometimes, by salvaging Legendary equipment. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Prisms.

The Jeweler can boost the quality of the gem in stages that range from Crude up to Royal. Based on the tier of the jewel, it will provide a different stat boosts when inserted into gear, weapons and jewelry.

The Jeweler can create the highest levels of gems apart from the rare and legendary ones that you must attain a certain level to get. Like other upgrade components jewels can be swapped with another identical jewel without destroying the original one. However, you can only replace a jewel in an equipment piece once.

Utilizing more jewels in a move will make it feel smoother and is typically performed to enhance the aesthetics of the movement. The jewels also improve performance and create an outer layer that is more durable than steel so that repeated friction from pivots do not damage them.

A Glyphmaster can offer glyphs to improve the appearance of your shields and weapons. These glyphs give a slight boost and can be traded, but they're not guaranteed to be available as loot. Glyphs, just like jewelry, can be upgraded at the Jeweler to exchange Scattered Crystals and gold. Glyphs are also removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, like aegis and traits, aren't swappable and are only recoverable by using an Upgrade Extractor, or by salvaging them using Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets can give your character various small, but beneficial advantages. They can be obtained in the areas of starting as loot or personal story rewards from vendors, and through doing road interactions. They can also be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.

The first trinket a player can unlock is the cloak. It provides a tiny but valuable boost in movement speed and evasion. The player can then acquire rings, amulets and necklaces in a similar manner to how they acquired weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has a slot for an upgrade that is either universal or jewel. Universal upgrades offer fewer benefits and can be put into any type of equipment however, jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded and is only compatible with specific types of trinkets.

These trinkets also grant additional bonuses and abilities that are active even when the character is not in combat. This allows the hero to become more efficient even when not in combat. It can also compensate for the lack of a excellent slot in the talent tree or team which are usually filled by a hero's top stats.

A good guideline for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you won't be replacing soon, followed by any items with desirable stats but less important than the iLevel of the item that is being upgraded. This is true especially if you are looking to upgrade multiple statistics on an item. It's more beneficial to upgrade a single important stat instead of two subpar ones.

Jungle players often upgrade their yellow trinket to a red one at the start of the game. Mid and top players, on the other hand, will choose a green or a pink ward, depending on the game's matchup. These choices will have a major impact on the hero's ability to control his map.

Apart from the items mentioned above, players may also find a number of other trinkets throughout the game in the form of trophies and awards.  item upgrade  can be earned by completing certain milestones within the story, such as completing a chapter's main quest or killing a certain boss. They can be viewed by selecting the relevant achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
